Lębork’s Frogs

This story happened a long time ago. A  lot of frogs came out from marshes and went in the town. The people were not happy because frogs were almost everywhere. On the other hand, the frogs didn’t want to go away. Next year people decided to create a deep canal that was to lead outide the city walls.  They built enormous walls surrounding the town but it didn’t help. The frogs were in town and they still didn’t want go away…
Then the youg men- Jakub Jaszke – came to the town . When he saw the beautiful mayor’s dauther – Dobrochna’s  – he felt in ove with her. Unfortunatel the Mayor of Lębork didn’t like him. He decided to get rid of Jakub. When they met they were talking for a very long time. Mayor said that he will approve Jakub’s relaionship with Dobrochna when all the frogs will disappear from the city. Jakub was really sad. He did not know what to do…

Four days later Lębork’s inhabitants were woken up by the sound of rushing water coming from the brand new fountain that appeared in the city. It proved that frogs were afraid of this unusual sound.

They run on  Małoszycka Mountain and Lębork was free of them and …
